Joel is an enthusiast for music and learning. He has a Bachelor’s of Music degree in piano from UBC and has an interest in diverse musics. Over his sixteen years of commitment to piano, Joel has developed an intimate understanding of what it takes to overcome the challenges of learning music whether it’s to become comfortable playing at the piano for fun or to develop the discipline of serious artistic expression. He sees teaching as an essential and meaningful responsibility of any academic, often asking, “why should we build up knowledge and skill other than to be generous with it?”. Joel's rate is $29 per half hour.
